It Shall Not Stand (Isaiah 7:4, 7, 9b)
“Take heed, and be quiet; fear not”—those words in Isaiah feel like a hand on the shoulder when everything around us seems uncertain. This song stays with that promise: what stands against God will not have the final word, and we can be still because He is with us.
Lyrics
Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted. Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established. Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted. It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
